Swirls, Flowers, & Bees !

 I made these just yesterday...

 ...while sitting outdoors watching grandchildren play in the summer sunshine.

 My husband's honeybees were buzzing around the flowers as birds fluttered here and there plucking berries from the bushes. A happy summer day that inspired the cheerful bees and flowers I needle-felted onto the woolen balls , all crafted using the wool fleece of my Jacob Sheep.

More Yarn & Now Feathers Added To My Shop !

 I have been a busy girl and am finally adding more yarn to my shop.

 Turquoise 2 ply worsted-weight ,

 and natural Romney / Jacob 2 ply worsted weight yarn. All handspun by me and if dyed, hand-dyed by me.

 This yarn is the white or oatmeal color of my Jacob sheep dyed turquoise.

 I have added feathers to my shop because I have a lot of poultry with unique feathers. This is one of my Sebastapol Geese and they have very long curly feathers. I collect all the feathers they drop and decided to sell them to anyone who might appreciate them for their crafting.

 This is one feather that splits into 2 sections and is curly This feather is over a foot long !

 Here is a small sampling of my goose feathers for sale. The ruler is there to show you how long they are.

Little Sheep, Needle-Felted Balls

 There are bright needle-felted balls, some with jingles , for sale in my shop. hey are wonderful toys for the living room, for children & cats. They also look nice sitting in a basket or bowl .

Wool Fiber ~ Jacob Sheep Wool Rolags & Batts For Sale

Jacob Sheep wool is usually white with black spots. Here is a close-up of a Jacob Sheep pelt.

I have clean & carded wool batts and rovings from my flock of Jacob Sheep. They range from black and the white to gray. The gray wool fiber I have for sale varies in the light or darkness of the gray. This depends on the proportions of white & black wool carded together.

Right now I have 10 five and one-half ounce bags of this gray Jacob Sheep fiber for sale . It is clean and carded into rolags , perfect for spinning or needle-felting.

My Shop Is Still Open

 I am still felting woolen balls crafted from the wool of my sheep.

 I am still spinning & dyeing wool yarn.

 I am still having fun creating my Wee Little Sheep .

 So much to do with the wool my sheep produce, plus the daily working around home , tending my sheep, poultry, cats , dogs, gardens. Keeping our home clean , enjoying quiet times and hectic times around Cedar Pond. God is good, praise Him !

I am also still weaving, needle-felting , sewing the cloth I weave from my hand-spun yarn into , oh, whatever strikes my fancy ! My Etsy shop Cedar Pond Wool Craft * is open and there are items for sale.

New ~ Handspun Wool Yarn In My Shop !

I finished spinning up a fleece I obtained by trading a pair of my Midget White turkeys . ( Thanks Robin ! )This is Romney wool. Robin had already washed it, so all I had to do was pick, card, and spin it up ! As I spun the wool fleece into yarn I wold refer to it as my "turkey yarn".

In the first picture the yarn appears to be gray, but it is really a light brown, or taupe.This is the natural wool color of the Romney sheep it came from.

See? The two close-ups of yarn are the same skein...but bright sunshine shows the brown much better.

There are 4 skeins of yarn from this wool fleece for sale. The prices range from $21.00 down to $14.75 per skein, depending on the size of the skein of yarn.This yarn is perfect for knitting socks, hats, scarves..or weaving into table-runners & place-mats.
